Chicago, My Kind of Town!

Chicago is home. Not only my home but home to world-renowned museums, sports teams and sports figures, theaters, the blues. . .home to the nation's largest building (Willis Tower), home to Oprah Winfrey and on the other side of the spectrum, Jerry Springer.

Chicago provided the stage to highlight the stellar career of#23, Michael Jordan - arguably the greatest basketball player to ever play the game, and now we have #1 Derrick Rose, who was not only born and raised here but is on his way to a comparable stellar career as that of Michael Jordan's. Ah yes, what excitement!

Oh, we lest not ignore the fact that Chicago is home to President Barack Obama.

Chicago is a major economic and business center, hosting the Mercantile Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade. Chicago is also an industrial juggernaut - home to many Fortune 500 Corporations.

Chicago is known for its amazing skyline - one of the most beautiful in the world - its mighty skyscrapers silhouetted against hues of gray or blue. Anchored along the mighty Lake Michigan, Chicago boasts a very nice shoreline - replete with great parks and beaches.

Chicago has a vibrant night scene -the world renowned Rush Street -pulsating to a diversity of beat and temperament; the blues joints along Halsted - playing homage to Howlin' Wolf, Willie Dixon and many more.

Chicago is also a gourmand paradise - its many wonderful restaurants catering to all tastes and persuasions. From its famous Chicago-style deep-dish pizza and the Chicago hot dog to the aged steaks at Morton's, you've many choices to soothe the palate. Chicago is contemporary, yet rich in history.

Chicago is also rich in culture and ethnicity - its people proud of both custom and heritage. Chicago's many festivals reflect its diversity and its diversity, in turn, reflects its unity. Chicago has many threads, woven together -and it is with this togetherness, that we welcome you!
